“The indescribable innocence of and beneficence of Nature, of sun and wind and rain, of summer
and winter, such health, such cheer, they afford forever” – Henry David Thoreau
Spectacular sunsets.. magnificent vistas.. colorful foliage.. graceful wildlife.. Just a casual walk
in the woods or a stroll in thr hills on a sunny morning can awaken the innermost feelings of
happiness and peace. Many of us crave the peace and quiet that comes with open, outdoor
spaces and for good reason. Nature allows us to step away from the demands of daily life. Our
physical and emotional senses are soothed by the vastness and beauty of nature. Even on the
gloomiest of days, a literal breath of fresh air does wonders. Nature is a symphony that soothes
the senses. Nature’s beauty has an infinite and immortal existence and discovering and enjoying
it is upto us.
“Where flowers bloom, so does hope” – Lady Bird Johnson
Nature is a free healer. Don’t you all agree? Nature enables us to process uncomfortable feelings
in a judgment-free zone, playing an extremely important role with emotional regulation. It helps
us all in the beautiful process of rejuvenation and clears our mind and soul. Quite simply, nature
is the best medicine to mankind. For instance, have you ever thought about why many of the
people prefer to book accommodations that have a great view from the balcony or the terrace?
Or why does it happen that when stress takes a toll on our mind, we crave for time to figure out
things amidst nature? It is simply because ‘nature heals’
“Like music and art, love of nature is a common language that can transcend political or social
boundaries” – Jimmy Carter
When a person gets bored while living a mechanical life, he wants to go in the lap of nature and
take a breath of peace. Nature also comforts us and calms our nervous system. Being outside
renews our spirits, encouraging us to look beyond with a positive mind frame. In today’s era, man
is getting more attracted towards natural things and even while buying things, he gives
importance to natural things or things made from natural elements. When that is the case, taking
time away from the mundane routine and replenishing oneself with nature is the best gift to give
oneself, isn’t it?
“Each kind of tree is a sort of musical instrument:
the apple a cello,
the old oak a bass viol,
the cypress a harp,
the willow a flute,
the young pine a muted violin.
Put your ear close to the whispering branch and you may catch what it is saying” – Guy Murchie,
Jr
